When we met you we knew that we were in the right place for our needs and the people you provided for us were just amazing. They all became like members of our family and the care they provided for my Dad was exceptional. They were gentle and kind, loving and warm and Dad loved them very much. We all did. They were with us when Dad was mobile and in the early stages of Altzheimers. And they stayed right through the very end, which included Dad’s short stay at Hospice. As Dad needed more and more care, they were able to meet all of our needs and they spoke to Dad as though he was their best friend. It was very touching to see and gave us all so much confidence in our ability to keep Dad at home.

It was a sad day for us all when Dad died and I know how sad Eli, Everton and Dereck were too. We will miss Dad so much and we will miss the caregivers too. We have let them know that they will forever be a part of our family and we are here for them if they ever need anything.

Peace of Mind was like an extended family to him for the two weeks he returned home, one last time. For this, I am so grateful. “It is hard to find the words to adequately thank you and your team of guardian angels at Peace of Mind for the patience, love and care given to our father, Ned Bigelow over the past several years. You all went far beyond our expectations in terms of making sure he was always comfortable and accepting him not just as a client but as a friend.

The caregivers were unfailingly warm with the various family members who visited our dad, and that includes all ages. Some followed with interest the arrivals of various great grandchildren and seemed to get as much of a kick out of family photos and events as our father did.

When he had to spend time in the hospital, some of the group would call to hear how he was doing, and he always looked forward to seeing the caregivers when he returned to Springhouse. Speaking of which, your team really worked to mesh with the caregivers at Springhouse seamlessly, respecting the areas of expertise of everyone involved.
